No one means to write poetry for dogs.
I meant to write an essay for a new group, The 2020 Club. The members take turns presenting an essay on a topic that is not the essayist’s work. It was my turn to write and deliver an essay.
It turned out that the essay — really, just the title of the essay, “Canine Poetry Slam” — sparked the writing of poetry for dogs.
