Years ago, we made some terrific (truly, terrifying) television advertisements for a personal injury attorney, Kevin Kurgis. While some rich people might sneer at this advertising and the practice of personal injury law, they offer help to vulnerable people who are both injured and scared about their impending negotiation with an insurance company.
These spots have been running — and performing well — for many years now.
Months ago, a local creative talent (referred to as “Mike” or “Chilly” on youtube.com)developed a parody of the original spots. Parody often has an insulting tone, but I think this parody helps Kevin Kurgis. While it is comically and enjoyably over the top, it reinforces what the law prevents Kevin from saying: “I will do anything for you.”
