Can you talk fast? Real fast? Keep numbers in your head? Then you, too, could be an auctioneer.
I can talk fast (but don’t keep numbers in my head especially well), so I’m the “guest auctioneer” at the 2007 Short Stop Showcase, a benefit for the Short Stop Youth Center. This is my fourth year as the auctioneer and I’m delighted to be joined by my co-guest auctioneer Sue Leighton, from Mix 97.1 FM. And we’ll be honoring Buckeye basketball legend, Bill Hosket.

It’s going to be a fun evening, especially if you join us. There’s the live auction, a silent auction (with many fabulous items, including the very accomplished visual arts of the young artists who work in the studios at the Short Stop), and fabulous hors d’oeuvres and desserts from Metro Cuisine and Jeni’s Ice Creams.
