Now comes Available Light Theatre with a new play.

You know Available Light. Many of Available Light’s members (actors, producers, directors, sound, lighting, wardrobe, box office and more) contributed their talents to make Our Town a success.

Classic Our Town is worthy. But Our Town wasn’t typical Available Light fare.  Available Light was doing a favor by helping to produce it.

Available Light’s Sweet Spot
Available Light provides provocative, modern theatre. Their theatrical message: don’t just sit there, get up and do something. Different shows call us to different actions: environmental, political, personal…

Just get busy. Become a more engaged citizen. That’s what Available Light calls us to do. Be human now.

Now: Time and a Few Words
From the Available Light website:

Time and a Few Words is just moments away.

The hottest show of your September opens in ten days time in downtown Columbus.

Created by ten writers, performed by six actors, and directed by Matt Slaybaugh, our newest work centers on Gabriel, a scientist whose obsession with time reaches new levels when his poet wife falls into a deep depression. As the couple desperately tries to reconnect, they and their neighbors enact a full-fledged exploration of the nature of the universe.

Fans of Available Light’s original works (e.g. Tomorrow is the Question, A Lonely Crowd) will thrill to this blending of science, history, and philosophy with poignant drama to create an emotional journey through the fabric of the cosmos.

Hey, Available Light, what do you mean, "Original Works"?
Often, Available Light presents new works that have never been seen in Columbus.

This time, the Available Light folks aren’t challenged enough by simply producing, directing and performing.

They also, in this case, have written the piece from scratch.

And it would have been too easy for one person to write the show. So they did it as a team of ten writers.

Come see Available Light.
