Wumpus 3a I don't know what to think of this fellow.

Sometimes, entertainment shouldn't be funny.
The Odd Couple is about despondency, divorce, anger management, obsessive compulsive disorder, and slovenliness — yet it is a hit comedy every time it is staged.

The movie version of The Odd Couple is just plain depressing (to me), because — with neither a theatre audience nor a laughtrack — it's nothing but sad topics.

Introducing: The Wumpus.

Someone I love thinks it's very funny.
It's a puppet, for goodness sakes, I'm told. It's a parody.

And so well done.

I think it's quite sad.
The depiction of mental illness and homelessness seems all too real.

And, yet, we imitate his speech.

Hey!…
